perfect binding

Perfect binding is a method that is widely used for soft cover book binding. Perfect binding is formed when books pages are hot glued at the spine and the other three sides are trimmed to give them clean, perfect edges. There are several advantages to perfect binding over other binding methods, such as Saddle Stitch, Spiral / Wire-O Binding, and Hardcover Binding. Perfect binding is ideal for publications with 30 or more pages.

The advantages of perfect binding are:

  • Overall valuable look and appeal
  • Printable spine
  • Longevity
  • Ability to creatively interleaf pages. Use a variety of paper weights, colors and finishes nearly anywhere you like.
